CDS Exam Eligibility 2011

(a) Nationality : A candidate must either be :

i. A Citizen of India, or

ii. A subject of Bhutan, or

iii. A subject of Nepal, or

iv. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

(b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status :

i. For IMA-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st 1st January, 1993 only are eligible.

ii. For Naval Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1990 (2nd January, 1988 in case of NCC/Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders) and not later than 1st January, 1993 only are eligible.

iii. For Air Force Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 and not later than 1st January, 1993 only are eligible.

iv. For Officers Training Academy – (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (married or unmarried born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January, 1993 only are eligible.
(c) CDS Educational Qualifications :

1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy-Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.

2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering.

3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of Recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

CDS Stands for Combined defense services examination and The examination was conducted by UPSC every year Two times CDS (I) and CDS (II). For This year CDS examination was Already Completed And The last date of apply for the CDS Examination was Already Completed.

Educational Qualifications:

I.M.A.

You should have got degree in any streams from any recognized college .
Your age should not be more then 24 years and less then 19 years .

Indian Naval Academy :

You should have completed your graduation in any streams from recognized University and You should have physics and mathematics in class 12th .
Your age should not be more then 23 years and less then 19 years .

Air Force Academy :

You should have completed your graduation in any streams from recognized University and You should have physics and mathematics in class 12th .
Your age should not be more then 23 years and less then 19 years .

Officers Training Academy(OTA)

You should have got degree in any streams from any recognized college .
Your age should not be more then 25 years and less then 19 years .

CDS- Combine Defence Service examination.

This exam is conducted by UPSC every year twice and this exam promotes candidates to join in Indian Military Academy,Indian Navy,Air force.This exam is one of the defence service exam of India.

There are certain eligibility criteria's framed for joining in these forces and as you have asked for the eligibility for IMA they are:

• The candidate must be a citizen of India

Age limits:

• Candidate must have a age limit of 19-24 years.

Education Qualification:

• Candidate must have a degree from a recognized university it does not depend on the stram in which you have got it.

As you have completed your B.tech Computer science you can apply for the IMA in CDS exam.

Details about C.D.S Examination :-

C.D.S Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.(i.e C.D.S (I) and C.D.S (II)).

Combined Defence Service Examination consist of different categories of course are Indian Military Academy,Indian Navy,Air Force,Officer Training Academy.

Indian Military Academy,the candidate must have a graduate degree in any desire subject from any recognized university or equivalent qualification.

Eligibility Criteria for this course(I.M.A) :-

You should have a 19 years to 24 years of age at the time of appearing.
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible and female candidates are not eligible.
You should have a graduate degree from any recognized university or equivalent qualification.
Candidates who are studying in the final semester of this examination can also apply for this examination.

Syllabus for this examination :-

Exam pattern for I.M.A(Indian Military Academy) :- English,General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics.Duration of examination is 2 hrs and Maximum 100 marks for each paper.

CDSE-Combined Defense Service Exam

CDS exam is conducted by UPSC every year twice to take qualified students into different defense service like Indian Air Force,Indian Navy and Indian Army.

Eligibility criteria for CDS exam:
For Indian Army:
You should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
And your age should be between 19 to 24 years.
For Indian Air Force:
You should have complete graduation degree in engineering from a recognized university.
And your age should be between 19 to 23 years.
For Indian Navy:
You should have complete graduation degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
And your age should be between 19 to 22 years.

If you fulfill with any one criteria,then you can appear for this CDS exam.
CDS-I exam notification released on 29th Oct 2011 and closes on 28th Nov 2011.And this exam will held on 12th Feb 2012.
CDS-II exam notification will release on 2nd June 2012 and closes on 2nd July 2012.And this exam will held on 16th Sept 2012.
