NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination was conducted by UGC Twice in a year.

The examination was held in June and December every year, the June NET 2011 Examination was already completed and December NET Examination Notification was going to be held soon in the month of december 2011, The Notification was published in the official website in the Month of September 2011.

And If you are Pursuing your MA Course then you are eligible for UGC NET Examination.

And Post graduation is the minimum Eligiblity to apply for NET Examination, So If you are pursuing your Final year Post graduate degree course, then you are eligible to apply for the NET Examination.

But you have to scored minimum 55% marks in your Post Graduation and If you have failed to scored minimum 55% marks then you are not eligible to apply for NET Examination.

>> the Notification was going to be published soon in the month of September 2011 and the examination fees of NET was Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees through challan in any SBI Branch.

There is no minimum age restriction to apply for Lectureship but for Junior research fellowship your age should not be more than 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved category candidates.

The eligibility for NET exam is as follows:
-Masters degree with at least 55% marks.
-Age limit: 1)Junior Research Fellowship: max 28yrs.
2)Lectureship: no upper age limit.

Final year students can also apply for it.
As you are in the pre final year you cannot apply now.
You can apply later on in your final year or after completing your post graduation.

Yes you are eligible for NET examination.

The candidates must have PG degree completd with 55 %.

Less than 55 % are not eligible.

NET examination is conducted twice in a year in the month of June and December.
