    Am I eligible to appear in NET exam in Education after completing M.A in Education from Vinayaka Mission University in Distance mode?

    Sir,
    am i eligible to appear in NET exam in Education if i pursue my M.A. in Education from Vinayaka Mission University through Distance mode?
    What is the total marks of examination that i have to sit for in M.A. for appearing in NET?

    Dear the national educational testing bureau of university grants commission (UGC) conducts national eligibility test (NET) in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrance in the teaching profession and research.
    you are eligible for this exam ,follow the details below.
    this test is conducted twice in A year in the month of
    • JUNE,
    • AND DECEMBER.
    If you have a desire to pursue research than JRF(junior research fellowship) is also available for teh five years subject to fulfillment of certain conditions.
    The JRFs are awarded to you if you are merit student among teh qualifying students for eligibility for lectureship in the NET .
    posts are like
    • lectureship NET: for appointment as lecturers,
    • JRF(junior research fellowship) NET: for appointment as lecturers and also to receive fellowships from UGC.
    EDUCATION QUALIFICATION TO GET ELIGIBLE FOR THIS EXAM
    *if you have secured at least 55% of marks and 50% of marks in SC, ST,PH,VH. in masters degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC humanities including languages and social sciences,
    computer science and applications,
    electronic science etc..
    are going to eligible .

    * if you are in the final year of your study than also you are eligible for this programme. But you have to complete your PG degree examination with in two years from the date of the NET exam with required percentage or else you will be disqualified.
    *if you are a PHD degree holder and if your masters level exam was completed by 19 September,1991 than you are eligible with 50% of marks with 5% of relaxation in marks. i.e from 55% to 50% of marks to get eligible.
    age limit
    lectureship NET:
    you must have 19 years to get eligible and there is no upper age limit.
    JRF(junior research fellowship) NET:
    you must have 19 years and maximum to 28 years to get eligible.

    the exam consists of three papers in two separate sessions as under:
    first session consists of two papers
    paper-1 carries 100 marks and you have to get
    • 40% of marks if you are belong to the general candidate,
    • 35% of marks if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE,
    • 35% of marks if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE,
    paper-2 carries 100 marks and you have to get
    • 40% of marks if you are belong to the general candidate,
    • 35% of marks if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE,
    • 35% of marks if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE,
    paper-3 carries 150 marks and you have to get
    • 50% of marks if you are belong to the general candidate,
    • 45% of marks if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE,
    • 40% of marks if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE,
    how to apply
    you can apply by downloading teh bank challen from in triplicate (bank copy,
    ugc copy,
    and candidates copy from teh UGC website than you have to deposit the test fees in branch of state bank of india with bank charges rs.20.

    application fees cost
    • if you are belong to the general candidate than you have to pay rs.450.
    • if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE than you have to pay rs.225
    • if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE than you have to pay rs.110

    Vinayaka Mission University in Distance mode is approved by UGC .

    So don't worry you are applicable for NET Exam .Because you have completed MA degree.But you must fulfill below given criteria also.

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conduct twice time in year by UGC.This test will be conduct for only lectureship , PHD and JRF .

    Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam but their is also some marks criteria.

    For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55% above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

    For JRF ,The age should be below 28 years and for Lectureship there are no age limit.

    Hai,

    NET exam is conducted by the UGC(University Grants Commission) two times in a year.


    Eligibility criteria:-

    The candidate should be complete masters graduation with atleast 55%of marks relaxation from a recognised university.

    The candidate must be a citizen of india.

    5% of marks relaxation for SC/ST candidates.


    Age criteria:-

    For JRF candidates 20 to 28 years,

    For Lectureship there is no age limits.
