Yes, you are eligible for appearing in IES exam after the completion of B.Tech chemical engineering. To appear in IES examination, one must have passed his/her graduation degree with atleast 50% of marks. There is no roundoff, even the students having 49.6% are not eligible for IES. Also the students who are in final year of their graduation are eligible for exam. They just need to provide a proof of their passing on the time of admission. IES is very tough exam. You need to work very hard to qualify it. You must have good knowledge in a language. Also you must be aware of current affairs and have good general knowledge. all the best for exam.

IES-Indian engineering services exam is conducted every year by UPSC for recruitment of engineers.
The engineers are selected only from the fields:

1.Mechanical
2.Civil
3.Electrical
4.Electronics and Communication

ELIGIBILITY:

1.A graduate in engineering in Mechanical , civil , ECE, EEE

2.Msc Graduate in Radiophysics , telecommunications ,electronics

3.Age eligibility is between 21 and 30

IES stands for Indian Engineering Services.

To apply for this exam you nee to complete your graduation in engineering !

You need to be citizen of India .

You can also apply for this exam if you are in the final year of your engineering graduation.

You have completed B-TECH degree from CHEMICAL ENGINEERING so you are applicable for IES exam but you should have subject option.You can choose the subject below given 4 subject .
