    Hi Dude......

    Dude you can not appear for the Indian Engineering Services Examination after completing your Graduation in Agriculture Engineering....
    Only the respective Branches of study are allowed for the jobs in the Engineering Services....

    Eligibility for Engineering Services Examination:
    *Age limit-
    You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not exceed the age of 30 years for appearing to the Engineering Services Examinations...
    *Educational Qualifications-
    Candidates who had completed the Graduation in Engineering in the Branches like
    Electrical and Electronics
    Electronics and Communication
    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engineering branches of study are only eligible for the IES Examination/.......
    *Nationality-
    You must be the citizen of India In order to appear for the Examination..
    These are the eligibility criteria required to be followed in order to appear for the Engineering services Examinations....

    Examination Pattern:
    The Examinations for the Selection of candidates are to be done in two ways of examinations for the selection such as...
    *Stage1-
    It contains two papers mainly they are
    Papers 1 contains the objective types questions and Paper2 contains the Conventional papers and both these contains the syllabus of the engineering branch of study subjects among the engineering branches of study for which the course of study are available....
    *Stage2-
    It contains the Personality Test and this test is conducted after completing the written test...
    These are the examinations pattern for the IES Examinations...

    No. You're not eligible for IES exams friend.

    You must have completed your engineering in the following streams to eligible for IES.

    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engg.
    Electrical Engg.
    Electronics and Tele communication Engg.

    If you have any engineering from above 4 branches or
    M.Sc(Electonics/Wireless Communication/Radio Physics/Radio Engineering)

    The age must be minimum 21 years to maximum 30 years at the time of examination.

    For SC/ST - 21 to 35years
    For OBC -21 to 33years
    For PD - 21 to 40years

    Scheme of IES Exam:
    Paper 1 (Objective) -> General Ability Test
    Paper 2&3 (Objective) -> Will be on your subject
    Paper 4&5 (Conventional) -> will focus in your branch

    Paper-I (0bjective Type)

    Duration: 2 Hours
    Marks: 200
    Questions: 120
    Negative marking:0.30

    Paper-II (Conventional)
    Duration:3 hours
    Marks: 200

    So, you're not eligible being a agricultural stream for IES.

    sorry dear, you cant appear in IES examination as this examination is for the engineering Degree in :
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics & Communications Engineering
    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engineering

    or equivalent degree from recognized universities.

    No dear, you are not eligible for giving this exam because

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IES EXAMS:-

    Educational Qualification is Graduation in engineering With 4 streams only.
    The streams are:-
    1.Electronics and Communication Engineering(ECE)
    2.Electrical and Electronics Engineering(EEE)
    3.Mechanical Engineering
    4.Civil Engineering

    Complete a Graduation in Engineering in following Streams
    Electronics & Communication Engineering

    min of 21 years & max of 30 years for General Candidates
    3 & 5 years age relaxation for OBC & SC/ST candidates

    Paper I : General Ability

    Part A : General English
    Part B : General Studies

    Paper II & III :
    It is a Objective type paper
    Marks : 200

    About IES Examination:

    IES stands for Indian Engineering services examination and this examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and to apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any one of the discipline:

    ~~ Electrical Engineering
    ~~ Electronics & Communications Engineering
    ~~ Civil Engineering
    ~~ Mechanical Engineering

    If you have completed your Graduate degree course in any one of the discipline then you are eligible for IES Examination, Agricultural engineering graduates are not eligible for IES Examination. If you want to apply for IES, then you have to choose any one of the subjects, Because as per the UPSC any engineering candidates may apply for IES. To be eligible for IES a YOU must be either:
    ~~ citizen of India OR
    ~~ a subject of Nepal OR
    ~~ a subject of Bhutan.

    To apply for this examination you must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years, Relaxation in age limit is there for candidates belonging to certain reserved categories.

    This examination is conducted in two sections:
    ~~ Part I includes written exam, which is further divided into various sub sections.
    ~~ Part II includes Personality Test.

    Paper-I is General Ability Test, which is further divided into two sections- General English and General Studies.

    Paper-II contains objective questions under following four sub-sections: Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering

    Paper-III comprises of conventional type questions.

    Those who cracked the written examination are eligible to appeared for Personal Interview. So please prepared well for this examination as per the pattern and syllabus.

    For this year IES Examination is going to be conducted soon on 15/June/2012.

    Those who have missed the chance in this year may apply for this examination next year. Eligible candidates may fill the application form online only.

    i have missed my first paper, i.e general paper due to some reasons .. is it still possible to carry on with the rest of the papers as I am pretty sure of getting the cut off in the them !

    No ,you are not eligible to apply for this examination .

    IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year . This year examination notification was already out on 10/03/12 and Last date for receipt of application was already closed on 09/04/12 . The examination will be held on 15/06/12 that means this examination completed on today .

    The Engineering in :-

    -Mechanical Engineering
    -Civil Engineering
    -Electrical Engineering
    -Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

    So , according to your qualification , you are not eligible to apply for this examination .

    Age limits for this examination is that candidate should have a minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination . Upper age limits is applicable .

    Required qualification for this examination is that candidate should have a completed engineering degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification .

    Final year candidates are eligible to apply and No minimum marks required for this examination .
