    DEAR FRIEND.
INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES IS A PART OF THE NATIONALLY RENOWNED CLUB OF EXAMS CALLED AS THE INDIAN CIVIL,SERVICE EXAM VONDUCTED EVERY YEAR BY THE UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
THE IAS IS A BRANCH WHICH INCLUDE THE POSTS OF VARIOUS HIGH RANKING OFFICERS IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF AND DEPARTMENTS OF INDIA.
TO BE ELIGIBE FOR THESE EXAMS YOU HAVE TO FULFILL THE FOLLOWING CRITERIAS:
    1. YOU MUST BE A CITIZEN OF INDIA
    2. YOU MUST BE 21 TO 30 YEARS OF AGE WHILE WRIINGTHE EXAM
    3. MUST BE A GRADUATE IN ANY DISCIPLINE WITH ANY SUBJECT, COURSE OR STREAM FROM A RECOGNISED UNIVERSITY.

SO THAT MEANS YOU, BEING S BBA IN REGULAR MODE, IS TOO ELIGIBLE TO APPLY ACADEMICALLY!
ALSO LET ME TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN ATTEMPT THIS EXAM ONLY 4 TIMES IF FROM A GENERAL CATEGORY AND 7 TIMES IF FROM AN OBC CATEGORY AND UNLIMITED NUMBER OF TIMED IF FROM SC/ST CATEGORY.

REGARDING THE SUBJECT SELECTION, AS PER QUESTION, THE VARIOUS SUBJECTS FROM WHICH TO CHOOSE ARE:
VETERINARY/MEDICAL/SOCIAL/POLITICAL SCIENCES, ECONOMICS, BUSINESS STUDIES, BOTANY, AGRICULTURE, ZOOLOGY, PSYCHOLOGY, PHILOSOPHY, COMMERCE, PUBLIC ADMINIRTRATION ETC..
AMONG THEM I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TO GO AND PREPARE WITH PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AS IT HAS BEEN SEEN THAT THE MAXIMUM NO. OF SELECTIONS ARE MADE FROM IT.
OTHERWISE IF YOU LIKE BUSINESS BACKGROUND, THEM GO WITH ANY AMONG COMMERCE, BUSINESS STUDIES, ECONOMICS OR MATHEMATICS.
REGARDING THE POLITICAL SCIENCE IT IS GOOD TOO BUT INSTEAD I WOULD ADVICE YOT TO GO WITH INDIAN HISTORY AS IN IT STUDY MATERIAL IS LIMITED AND THE SUBJECT IS SCORING.
AS YOU KNOW THAT THE EXAM CONSIST OF TWO STAGES:
-PRELIM EXAM: IT CONSIST OF A GENERAL KNOWLEDGE EXAM AND OPTIONAL SUBJECT EXAM.
-MAIN EXAM: IT CONSIST OF PAPERS LIKE ONE LANGUAGE EXAM, ESSAY, OPTIONAL SUBJECT PAIR.

THEN COMES THE INTERVIEW AND THEN TRAINING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.

    GOOD LUCK
    ::HAIDER KHAN::

    hi folk,
yah! political science is a good option and you can sit in the CSAT(civil services aptitude test) after bba.
but sorry you cant find any of the 26 optionals prescribed by UPSC for CSAT.
    don't worry
#choose your optional accordingly your level of perception.
#keep updated with the current affairs
    #improvise your communication skills
#go according to the preliminary syllabus for preparation
but one thing for sure prepare the above to the fullest
it is as simple as that.

wish all the luck and success for future...............

yes you are eligible to appear in IAS exams.and public administration is better than political science because you can score more on public administration since political science is a tougher subject to win.and i don't think there will be any management subject will be there as optionals
