    Am I eligible to appear in IAS entrance exam after completing MBBS course?

    Hello sir/madam
    i am doing my mbbs. am i eligible to write ias exam after completing my mbbs?

    Yes, Definitely You are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become IAS (Indian Administrative Services) Officer in future After completing MBBS Course, This examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and to apply for this examination, you must have completed your Graduate degree course from a recognised University, Final year graduate candidates are also apply for this examination.

    The Notification of this examination will be Published in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Website in the Month of February. Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online Only by visit the official website. This examination is Conducted in these Stages :

    >> Preliminary Examination
    >> Main Examination

    Firstly, You have to cracked the Preliminary examination, this examination is Objective and there are 2 papers in this examination and Both are of Same marks and Duration, If you cracked the Preliminary examination, then you are eligible for Main examination. Main examination is Descriptive and there are 9 papers in this examination and the examination is of 2000 Marks (Combined all the papers). You have to choose the Optional Subjects for Main examination on the basis of Graduation. Those who cracked both these examination are eligible for Final Interview.

    Eligiblity Criteria for Civil Services Examination :
    ---------------------------------------------------

    >> To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University.

    >> Your age should between 21 to 30 Years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    >> Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination

    Number of Attempts :
    --------------------

    >> For General candidates : 4 Attempts
    >> For OBC Candidates : 7 Attempts
    >> For SC/ST/OBC Candidates : No Limits

    So, After completing your MBBS Course you are eligible to apply for Civil services examination.

    The Notification of this year will be Published on 04/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination 05/March/2012 and Preliminary examination will be held on 20/May/2012.

Please prepare well for this examination as per the syllabus and firstly do well for Preliminary examination, if you cracked Prelims exam only then you are apply for Main examination.     Yes of course you are eligible for appearing in the Civil services
    examination which is held every year for recruitment of candiadtes
    for services such as :-

    -Indian Administrative Service (IAS)
    -Indian Foreign Service (IFS),
    -Indian Police services (IPS),
    -Indian Revenue Service (IRS)
    and other services.

    The eligibility to appear in Civil services examination is as follows :-

    -You must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised institute
    or University. You can also apply if you are in the final year of your
    graduation. Since you also have a Bachelors degrss in Medicine and surgery
    you are also eligible to apply.

    -You must have attained the minimum age required to write this examination
    which is 21 years. The maximum age is 3o years.

    The Civil services examinataion will be held this year with a revised pattern.
    The Preliminary examination that was organised earlier will be replaced by the
    Civil services aptitude test (CSAT) which is the first stage of the civil
    services examination.

    The CSAT will consist of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2 .Each will be of
    200 marks and each will be of 2 hours duration. The CSAT will contain questions
    from various areas like Decision making, Logical reasoning, Quantitative aptitude,
    Analytican skills and also your general awareness.

    The important dates for the next Civil services exam to be held in 2012 are as follows :-


    Date of release of notification :- 04.02.2012
    Last date of receipt of applications :- 05.03.2012
    Date of examination :- 20.05.2012

    after completing 12, I would like to persue MBBS. After completing MBBS, Will I be able to appear in IAS exam? Can I appear in this IAS exam during my medical study?
