Re: Am I eligible for admission in Regular MBA with Poor Percentage in B.Com?

Yes off course you can pursue MBA(Masters of Business Administration) through correspondence mode even if you have not scored well in your graduation.
Many students after competing B.Com want to pursue MBA , but they are not aware of a fact that there are thousands of MBA colleges in India and only few of them them has a good reputation in the job market.

So, in my opinion before opting for any of the MBA college , you should first appear for the standard entrance examinations so that you can pursue your MBA in any of the best MBA colleges in India.
For this purpose you have to appear for exams such as CAT,MAT, MH CET, etc.CAT (Common Aptitude Test) is one of the most prestigious exam in India for getting into the management field. Many of the MBA colleges that give admission on the basis of CAT score obtained the student give full scholarship if the student has scored more that 90 percentile in the exam. But scholarships given to only meritorious students who have a really good potential to become great achievers.

Apart from that there are other exams also such as MAT as well as MBA entrance conducted by various states of India. These entrance can also provide you with a very good college if you scored really well in the exam.Your poor percentage in graduation would not affect your career in the future if you tried really hard to get a reputed B school.
The subjects that are usually asked in these exams include quantitative aptitude , English(for example antonyms and synonyms), data interpretation, logical reasoning, etc.

Re: Am I eligible for admission in Regular MBA with Poor Percentage in B.Com?

MBA stands for Master in Business Administration and the duration of this course was 2 Year.

The admission in this course are based on National Level Entrance examination Like CAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT Examinations. And To apply for all these examination you need to complete your Graduation course in any discipline from a recognised university.

But if you have scored Minimum 50% Marks in your 12Th examination Only then you are eligible to take admission in MBA Course. If you have failed to scored minimum 50% marks in your graduation then you cant apply for CAT Entrance examination. So 50% Marks is the minimum eligibility criteria to get admission in MBA Course.

And If you have scored 50% Marks in your graduation then you are eligible to apply for CAT Entrance examination and if you have scored good percentile in CAT Examination then you are eligible to apply for Group discussion and Personal Interview round and after clear all these rounds you are eligible to get admission in MBA Course.

    CAT Examination Eligiblity -

    >>>> Graduation in any discipline form a recognised university.
    >>>> You have to scored minimum 50% marks
    >>>> Final year students are also apply for CAT Examination

    >> Notification was announced soon in the month of august 2011 in the official website.

    MAT Examination Eligiblity -

    >>>> Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University
    >>>> No Minimum percentage eligibility criteria, Any graduate pass candidates are eligible.

    >> The Notification was availiable in the AIMA Official website.

But you will get admission only when if you have scored good percentile in These entrance examination.

MY FRIEND, TO PURSUE MBA FROM REPUTED INSTITUTION, GOOD PERCENTAGE IS REQUIRED IN GRADUATION.
TO APPEAR IN CAT, MINIMUM REQUIRED PERCENTAGE IS 50%,
FOR MAT EXAM, MINIMUM PERCENTAGE IS 45% IN GRADUATION.
MOST OF THE INSTITUTES ASK FOR 50% ATLEAST IN GRADUATION .
BUT IF YOU BELONG TO RESERVED CATEGORY, THERE WILL BE THE RELAXATION.

Re: Am I eligible for admission in Regular MBA with Poor Percentage in B.Com?

My friend MBA is a master's course in the business administration.
This course provides all the qualities, skills and techniques of carrying on business in any field. It inculcates the strategies for the proper running of business and market wages skills into the student.

As you said that you scored poor in your graduation then let me tell you that the minimum eligibility percentage criteria varies from institute to institute.
In the India's top institute of management IIM it is that you should get atleast 50% in the graduation for general and 45% for SC/ST category.
So if you have scored even less than this then I am sorry you cannot do your MBA with such low marks. Atleast 45 to 55% is the average and decent criteria that many institutes ask for. So just try if you can get it somewhere otherwise it is very difficult in my opinion.
    Good luck.

you need to score atleast 50% in b.com
then you are eligible for mba entrance exam.
then after entrance exam you are eligible for mba admission.
but if you have scored less than 50% in b.com then you are not eligible for mba entrance and you cannot take admission in mba.

Re: Am I eligible for admission in Regular MBA with Poor Percentage in B.Com?

Well it depends on which college you want to take examination .For CAT examination the minimum percentage criteria is 50% marks in graduation .if you have not got this much marks then sorry to say but you are not eligible to get admission in top Business school . But it doesn't mean that you cant not pursue MBA you can but the college will not equally good as IMA .You can appear for MAT exam which requires only graduation. If you have done graduation then you are eligible to take the exam. But still some colleges put their own minimum criteria for admission.Like they may ask graduate with 50% marks and MAT score. You have opportunity to fill MAT form as the forms are available

Yes you can go for MBA , but you have to score good marks in I-CET or CAT tthese exams is for MBA entrance , if you qualify in these you can get colleges , if you are poor in subjects better to take coaching for entrance through CAT or I-CET its upto you , but in my view better you go for CAT why because there will give more preference, i thing you have to remember in MBA you have to concentrate on communication and soft skills these will helps a lot for you . If your economically good you can go to abroad there is a more value for MBA in abroad . for these you have to write GRE exam . . .

    All the best . . . .

Re: Am I eligible for admission in Regular MBA with Poor Percentage in B.Com?

For joining for any institute for the MBA course the candidate should atleast be a graduate. Also they will need to appear for the entrance exam/s based on the institute they plan to join. A candidate with even a pass class can appear for these exams. The institutes while short listing the candidates will consider the score secured in both the entrance exam and also the graduation marks. If the candidate has a good score in the entrance exam then probably they may be called for the next round. But they need to fair well in the GD and the interview round too. So you must work hard to secure a good score in the entrance exam. You can probably join any training institute for this purpose.

60% is the minimum criteria for almost all the universities.
Some of the important exams for MBA also demands for 60%. But if you are well below this then you must try for the management seats .
Through donation you can pursue the MBA even from IIPM having the best global exposure.

    hello,
See most of the colleges of MBA put the eligibility around 60% in degree
so the main selections will depend on the exams you write but if you get qualified then they would short list you based on your degree %
but for bcom 60 %would be enough so jus check your % and try to improve if your a bit behind
    all the best

    hello friend,
See MBA is a really good option to solidate your carrer and improve your scope for good jobs.
You need to have the interest and managerial skills to be competent and it is better to do an MBA in a B-School rather than any local colleges
because companies look at not only reputation but also the course structure and the field projects done by studens and all this will be of top range in Bschools
    Eligibility:
    age-above 21 years
    education-aggregate of 55 to 60 %
    exam-CAT,MAT,XAT,SNAP,GMAT
    State level-I-CET

if you have the above eligibilty and qualify in any of the exams you have better chances of getting into an mba college.
In case of poor aggregate it is better to do a job for 2 years and have a work experience and
later do an executive MBA from a good college.
    GOOD LUCK

Re: Am I eligible for admission in Regular MBA with Poor Percentage in B.Com?

Yes off course you can pursue MBA
    (Masters of Business
    Administration) through
    correspondence mode even if you
have not scored well in your
    graduation.
    Many students after competing
B.Com want to pursue MBA , but
they are not aware of a fact that
    there are thousands of MBA
colleges in India and only few of
them them has a good reputation
    in the job market.
So, in my opinion before opting for
any of the MBA college , you
    should first appear for the
    standard entrance examinations
so that you can pursue your MBA in
any of the best MBA colleges in
    India.
For this purpose you have to
appear for exams such as CAT,MAT,
    MH CET, etc.CAT (Common Aptitude
Test) is one of the most prestigious
exam in India for getting into the
    management field.Many of the
    MBA colleges that give admission
on the basis of CAT score obtained
the student give full scholarship if
the student has scored more that
    90 percentile in the exam.But
    scholarships given to only
    meritorious students who have a
    really good potential to become
    great achievers.
Apart from that there are other
exams also such as MAT as well as
    MBA entrance conducted by
    various states of India.These
entrance can also provide you with
a very good college if you scored
really well in the exam.Your poor
    percentage in graduation would
not affect your career in the
future if you tried really hard to
    get a reputed B school.
    The subjects that are usually
    asked in these exams include
    quantitative aptitude , English
    (for example antonyms and
    synonyms), data interpretation,
    logical reasoning,etc.

    GRADUATION.
    TO APPEAR IN CAT, MINIMUM
    REQUIRED PERCENTAGE IS 50%,
    FOR MAT EXAM, MINIMUM
    PERCENTAGE IS 45% IN
    GRADUATION.
MOST OF THE INSTITUTES ASK FOR
    50% ATLEAST IN GRADUATION .
