All India Pre veterinary Test - AIPVT Exam

The Veterinary Council of India administers the All India Pre veterinary Tests - AIPVT Examination. AIPVT is conducted for admitting students in various veterinary institutes in India. The veterinary council of India has taken the responsibility to give good veterinary practice and preservation of Indian Veterinary Practitioner's Register.

Structure and Pattern of the AIPVT Exam

The total duration of the exam is three hours. The exam contains of three parts of questions. It will be in the format of multiple choice and reason assertion type. The questions will be from Physics, chemistry and Biology. The test paper will have 200 questions. Physics and Chemistry will have 60 questions each and Biology which consists of questions in Botany and Zoology will have 80 questions.

Qualification Criteria for AIPVT exam

Any Indian national can attend AIPVT Exam except from Jammu Kashmir state. Candidates from Jammu Kashmir are not eligible for the test. The candidate should passed Higher Secondary education or equivalent with Physics, chemistry, biology and English language with a minimum of 50% marks. The candidates belongs any backward caste or Scheduled Tribes and any special category as recognized by government, marks requisite for admission shall be 10% less than that set for General Category.

Application Procedure for AIPVT exam

Online application is an option available to the candidates. If applying by registered/Speed Post the candidates will have to pay the examination fees of Rs.400 for SC/ST and Rs 800 for General. Application fee can be paid as DD in favor the “Veterinary Council of India Examination Fund New Delhi”. It should be drawn on any scheduled Bank. Also it should be payable at New Delhi. Candidates have to mention name, address and application form number on the back of DD.
