    AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination

    All India Institute of Medical Sciences conducts the AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination to select the eligible aspirants for pursuing the medicine program within AIIMS. Those who pass the entrance test and the personal interview thereafter can seek for admission for studying MBBS program within the institute. As the test is carried out in many test centers across India, aspirants can attend the test in their preferred test center.

    Structure and Pattern of the AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination

    The pattern of the exam will be of objective type. It encompasses questions on Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. In addition, there will be reason-assertion type questions for the test. Erroneous answers will be negatively marked. There will be 200 questions for the test. The exam will last for a time period of 150 minutes. English will be the only mode of instruction.

    Qualification Criteria for the AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination

    The pre-requisite stipulation to apply for the test is a pass in the 10+2 exam from Science disciplines. Aspirants should have secured an aggregate of 60% marks in the intermediate exam. In addition, they are required to score the same in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects individually. Aspirants who are appearing in the concluding year of the exam can also apply for the test. However, there is 10% relaxation in marks for SC /ST aspirants. Those who are aged 17 and above can only apply for the test.

    Application Procedure for the AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination

    Both online and offline forms are made available to the aspirants. Applicants can either procure forms from the AIIMS office or from the respective branches of SBI by remitting the form fee. Those who want the same by post should attach a DD of the required form fee along with a requisition letter. Aspirants may submit the duly filled in applications to the official address of AIIMS by post or in person prior to the last date.

    AIIMS offers admission to 50 MBBS seats ( only around 35 seats for general). The minimum percentage required is 60% in 12th class. You can give the exam 12 appearing also . The toughest part of the entrance exam is assertion reason type question which are generally a big hurdle to students. Also the level of biology is good enough. It is one of the finest institute in India for pursuing Mbbs. If one really wants to get in , he must burn midnight oil for the whole 11 and 12 class. Cut off general candidates is around 130-145. Also apart from these, GK is also asked in the entrance exam. The exam is generally held in first week of june, generally 1st june and result is declared around mid of july.
