    AIEEA

    All India Entrance Exam for Agriculture Courses (AIEEA) is conducted for Indian nationals for admissions to AIEEA UG and AIEEA PG programmes. It is to admit candidates to 100% seats at Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), Deemed Universities’ courses in Agriculture and Allied Sciences other than Veterinary Science. It is also conducted to award the National Talent Scholarships for Academic Session every year. Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi is the authority which conducts AIEEA for 15% seats in UG and 25% seats in PG courses in 39 State Agricultural Universities. Both UG and PG entrance exams are usually conducted in the month of April.

    Structure and Pattern of AIEEA
    The question paper has two sections Stream A and Stream B. Stream A consists of subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agriculture whereas Stream B consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidates can choose any stream as their eligibility. Medium of instruction is in both English and Hindi.
    • For UG Programme: All the questions will be multiple choice objective type questions.
    • For PG programme: The question paper consists of multiple choice objective type questions and cross matching type questions.

    Qualification Criteria for AIEEA
    Age limit for UG course is between 17 &23years and for PG course is not less than 19 years.

    UG Programme
    The candidate must have passed with 50% marks in 10+2 examination. For SC/ST and physically challenged candidates only 40% marks is necessary. Any candidate having compartment/supplementary in any subject are not eligible to appear for this entrance exam. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examinations can also apply for the entrance under a condition that they have to submit the certificates at the time of counseling.

    PG Programme
    Candidates possessing Bachelor’s degree or those appearing for final year exam in the related subject under 10+2+5, 10+2+4 years degree programmes are eligible. A few seats are reserved for candidates having Bachelor’s Degree with 10+2+3 years programme but the Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) should be 6.60 / 10.00, 3.25 / 5.00, 2.60 / 4.00 or 60% for General, OBC and UPS categories whereas for SC / ST / Physically Challenged candidates require only an OGPA of 5.60 / 10.00, 2.75 / 5.00, 2.20/ 4.00 or 50% of marks.

    National Talent Scholarship (NTS)
    NTS is awarded to candidates selected through the AIEEA examination and they get the privilege of joining an Agriculture University located outside the state of domicile.

    Application Procedure for AIEEA
    Application forms can be downloaded from official website of ICAR. This has to be duly filled and send across with DD in favour of “Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR” payable at “New Delhi”. For UG programme the application form costs Rs.400 for General, OBC and UPS categories and Rs.200 for SC/ST candidates. For PG programme it is Rs.500 for General, OBC and UPS categories and Rs.250 for SC/ST candidates.

    sir i was not able to attend the counseling based on the second cutoff due to the postal delay,i hav an overall rank of 4082.is there anythng i can do with this?
